The effects of climate change will cause large-scale human displacement. We are engaged in a project which seeks to address the problem of climate change displacement. The focus of our project is a proposal for a convention for persons displaced by climate change. The convention would establish an international regime for the status and treatment of such persons.

We have made presentations and given seminars on the CCDP convention throughout Australia and in London, Copenhagen and Vancouver, and we will hold a ‘side event’ on the convention at the Cancun, Mexico climate change conference in November - December (the 16th Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC).
